Week 2
We start to use Adobe Animate. The lecturer taught us the basic setting when creating a new project. After setting up the canvas we were tasked to trace an image of a boat using the line shape tool.

Week 3
This week we learn about Shape Tween Animation from one shape to another. First task we did was to make a transition from a square to a circle using tween animation. It was straight forward and easy to understand.
After that, we were tasked to use our knowledge about tween animation to make a 10 second countdown to 0 seconds. It was also simple to do, I made it so that after 0 seconds it looped back to 10 seconds.
Week 4
This week we learn about Classic Tween Animation. We first made a normal beach ball bounce animation. After that we learn to use Classic Motion Guide. We drew a line, attached the ball to the guideline, then it followed it like a path.
As for our task, the lecturer gave us an image of a small town road and we had to draw a car, and by using classic motion guide we have to make it so that the car is driving around the place on the road.
INSTRUCTIONS
TASK 1 - Thematic Interactive Website Proposal
We are required to create a thematic interactive website proposal with the topic of their choice that can be based on:
- A specific product of a particular brand launch/special.
- Movie promotion.
- Game release promotion.
- Gallery/Museum exhibit launch.
- Band/Artist latest release.
- Or anything else you have in mind (subject to the module coordinator’s approval).
Proposal Ideas:
The first was to think of ideas for the website. I want to make something that interests me. So I settle on my top 3 interests:
- Lobotomy Corporation - A challenging management simulation. The website will provide users with information about the games and what to expect, along with a shortcut to where to get the game.
- Limbus Company - A story-driven turn base game. The website will talk about the journey of the characters in the game.
- Sakamoto Days Manga - A manga series with interesting main casts. The website would be a gallery of manga panels where the main cast appears in along with the story arc.
Amongst the 3 ideas, I like the first the most since I am experienced with the game and there are many contents that can be included in the website. (Maybe too much...). After consulting with the lecturer, I got the green light to proceed with my first idea, Lobotomy Corporation.
Introduction:
Lobotomy Corporation is an abnormality management simulation with a simple concept to the gameplay, but it is considered as a difficult game. Players have to hire employees and send them to work with abnormalities. Each abnormalities have its mechanic when working on it or when they escape its containments. There is also a story for players to follow and understand the world the game take place in with many interesting characters.
Target Audience:
- Casual Gamers (13+)
- Individuals who want to enjoy the game casually. Some wants to know what things are they dealing with rather than going in completely blind, especially in a game that is long and have the tendency to make the player restart from the beginning.
- General Gamers (13+)
- Individuals that are searching for games to try out. They would want to know how the game would be and what it have to give before getting it.
Challenges of the game:
- Information about the abnormalities and their mechanics are hidden.
- The scenarios happen in the game can be unpredictable.
- Story and characters may be hard to understand.
Concept & Purpose:
- The site will introduce and teach players about Lobotomy Corporation. It will contain the basic information of the game to get player starting.
- Content in the website will be simplified for new players who have never heard of the game before to understand what to expect.
- It will also provide information on the abnormalities for casual players that are starting the game to refer to.
Visual Style:
The website will have a simple futuristic style. It will also be designed as if the user is going through the website as the Manager if the corporation.
